Trump: the Chamberlain of our times updated July 17, 2024 and July 26, 2024)

(Update 7/26/24: Trump claims there will be WW III if he does not get elected. Donald Trump claims there may be a 'third world war' if he loses election (thehill.com) Biden has been frequently pointing out that for the first time in years there are no US troops in a war. Trump is a fool to think appeasement and isolationism will keep us out of a war.)

Chanberlain was a fool; Trump is a fool on Ukraine and NATO; and VP pick JD Vance is the biggest fool of them all.

Trump's meeting with dictator Viktor Orban of Hungary in early July to discuss pulling the rug out from Ukraine and finding peace that way reminds me of another "peace in our times," a quote by one of the biggest blunderers in history. From Google:"At Munich, Chamberlain (British PM)got an international agreement that Hitler should have the Sudetenland in exchange for Germany making no further demands for land in Europe. Chamberlain said it was 'Peace for our time'. Hitler said he had 'No more territorial demands to make in Europe." Chamberlain and Hitler 1938 - The National Archives
Note: within a year and a half, Hitler marched into Poland, and beginning Sept. 1940, London was pulverized by the German Blitz
, Putin’s offer on June 14 to “immediately” order a cease-fire in Ukraine and start negotiations if Kyiv begins withdrawing troops from the four regions annexed by Moscow in 2022 and renounces plans to join NATO.'
,"
Handing over what an aggressor craves is not making peace. It just reveals the appeaser's lack of resolve and makes them think figure grabs are for their easy pickings. Trump, who seems never to have learned history or thought it was important, is repeating the blundering phrase and wants to repeat the same blundering acts. Trump is the Chamberlain of our times.
