Are all non-MAGAs now Aunt Tifas?

To crack down on anyone who would oppose Trump, the Trump regime is searching for another bogeyman to justify anti-first-amendment actions. The new bogeyman du jour is antifa. The irony and problem with this new Antifa scare is that the name actually means anti-Fascist, and Trump et al are very sensitive about being called fascists. That could be turned around by the opposition to constantly remind voters that Trump acts and talks like a fascist. The number of white haired Oct. 18 participants who claimed they were Aunt Tifa was humorous, but that had a serious purpose to point out how absurd the Antifa fear mongering was, and by implication, calling Trump a fascist, they were against.  Maybe all protesters of the Trump regime are also Aunt Tifas. Trump’s first-ever Antifa indictment signals DOJ is opening a much bigger case against left-wing groups

This anti antifa strategy is taking place after Trump failed to get a large portion of the US to agree that nearly all (a few exceptions) of migrants from south of the border were murderers and rapists, and criminals. This attempt resulted in the majority of public opinion being unhappy with Trump's execution of mass deportation. It was due to ICE's cruel treatment of migrants who were not criminals. and in fact, who mostly turned out to be otherwise upstanding neighbors and service providers. The regime must feel some need to set up another enemy to fear, to accomplish another goal: suppress dissent. They are now elevating antifa, a non-organization, and their like-minded "fellow travellers" as their newest object to be so scared about, their followers will swallow the pitch and go along with violations of the Constitution, as loyal MAGA supporters..

Aspiring dictators have often become successful by setting up bogeymen to justify otherwise unpopular anti-free speech crackdowns and to convince their subjects to give up their own civil rights to be safe or keep their race pure.. Examples, Jews in Nazi Germany, fueled Hitler's rise; fear of Syrian refugees in Hungary, boosted Viktor Orban to fascist leader status; Muslim terrorists in Russia helped Putin consolidate power..
In the past, in the US, some found ghosts of commies behind every movie production and government desk, but this one may go the way of the Red Scare of McCarthy, too. The fear of the non-MAGA is that Trump, like McCarthy, will try to use this anti antifa fear campaign to clamp down on anyone who fits their version of Antifa, either to explain their actions to their base or to launch a campaign to suppress even white, mature dissenters.

After October 18, Trump and Trump spokespeople have failed to paint the seven million NO KINGS participants as terrorists like Antifa, Hamas supporters, etc. The reason: the seven million on Oct. 18 were mostly white and mature, visually not Antifa black terrorists. The Trumpists have not given up on Antifa as their new bogeyman so now they have to act like Ghostbusters, and found two, aha, who met their profile. Trying to prove they are card-carrying Antifas will be hard since antifa is not an organization, but a loose assembly of some like-minded individuals without leadership.
