Shocked, shocked, shocked that the militias were cop killers January 6?

Some cheering on the mobs from the comfort of their TV viewing couch are probably the same who thought the cops were the heroes in the battle with George Floyd demonstrators last summer. They need a serious dose of reality. If they were shocked, shocked, shocked that there were cop killers among the militias storming the Capitol January 6, they need to wipe away the red film over their eyes. Militias have a history of treating cops as their enemies. Among the worst actors were the Michigan militias. They actually attempted to wage war on the cops. For those attackers who were shocked the police fought them, they were clearly twisted. Imagine being a cop hearing those chilling words as you're being clubbed with metal pipes, kicked, and tasered by a bloodthirsty mob determined to overthrow the results of a presidential election while you're battling to protect the seat of democracy -- and the elected representatives of the people.

That cop was D.C. police officer Michael Fanone. He was one of the officers dragged down the steps of the Capitol and beaten by the Trump Terrorists. The 40-year-old suffered a mild heart attack and drifted in and out of consciousness.

Strange bedfellows: There is a segment of Trump supporters who cheered on the insurrection on TV at the time.   No doubt many who did so were sincere, swallowing the lie that the vote was stolen by fraud so it was justified in taking the vote back by violence.  They may not have thought they were supporting some racists and cop killers, but they were.  The cast of awful characters who were in the forefront of the mob action was documented by journalists who snapped pictures of identifying shirt patches of those leading the mob and then did a snapshot paragraph about each one of the groups.  I have cited this frequently, but it may be worth your time to get a grasp of what bedfellows some were cheering. It is horrifying.
