The chemical industry's influence on EPA is deja vu all over again

This reminds me so much of the Reagan administration. Reagan appointed Ann Gorsuch (yes, part of that Colorado clan including the new Supreme Court justice) to head the EPA. I was active in Colorado politics then and a friend of mine with a major Chicago law firm was tasked with vetting her.on behalf of a chemical industry client Knowing her anti environmental record in the State Legislature and the controversy about super fund sites, I remember telling my lawyer friend.."Your client will love her". I was right and she became the first cabinet head in history who was cited for contempt of Congress and she was forced to resign for her bungling of superfund money and cleanup of toxic chemicals.
