Eight states did not use paper backups for tabulating votes. Note: none of those states were the ones Trump backers challenged. Having paper ballots plus electronic computer tabulation explains why Trump's attempt to overturn the vote charging fraud and demanding recounts and audits did not change the vote. The electronic tabulations came close enough to the ones performing tabulation of paper ballots by hand and made it impossible for some bad actor to hack the electronic tabulation machines and get away with it.
In addition, Trump-inspired challengers who claimed with their own eyes that there was fraud and signed affidavits lost their cases before judges who found 1) the challengers did not understand the process 2) there were not enough instances to change the vote talley outcome.
