The pundits in media speculating of Harris VP pick are missing a big point

 The focus of media like this  Would picking Josh Shapiro actually help Harris in Pennsylvania? (msn.com) is myopic.  While Pennsylvania is very important in the electoral count, Shapiro brings another asset:  to the table.:  support of the business community not yet behind Harris. Harris does have a vulnerability MAGA will attack: just too liberal and a history that is too green for climate deniers.  Re: Pennsylviania, one issue that bothers much of the business community is that she once opposed fracking in Pennsylviania. She has already moderated that position some time ago.  Pennsyvlania is a huge producer of natural gas and is important to that economy, especially in Trump country in western Pennsylvania. Shapiro on the other hand has invested state policy there to promote production and sales of natural gas.   What he brings to the table is a way to blunt the MAGA business attacks because he is greatly respected my contacts tell me in the business community and MAGA is rumored to fear him as a VP pick.  So far as the weird attack on Vance goes, the contrast with anyone Harris picks of the top ones on the media speculation list would beat Vance any day, but with Vance, the darling of some big tech guys, this would be a particularly painful contrast of a Shapiro vs Vance.
